One of the most influential horror films, "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre", is implemented as a game. So far it looks so impressive.
Last year at the Game Awards, another asymmetrical multiplayer title by Gun Interactive and developer Sumo Nottingham was announced. As before, the publisher remains loyal to the horror genre and the film world. After Friday the 13th - The Game, the Americans are now implementing the next iconic work. Based on the notorious film "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" (also known under the name "Blood Court in Texas") from 1974, which in turn is based on true events, you will soon be able to go on teenage hunt with Leatherface - for the first By the way, by the way, because the only game for the film has appeared so far.
After the first trailer in December 2021, the makers have now released another video that should illustrate how close the game is based on the template. However, no gameplay scenes can expect, because in the current clip, which is exclusively available from IGN colleagues, only scenes from film and game are compared. In our opinion, however, this is no less impressive, because the richness of detail and the illumination of the virtual environments come up with the original. The petrol station or the well -known swing in the garden alone see what we know from the film, strikingly similar. Sometimes you have the impression that the makers are removing the horror classic.
Unfortunately, there are almost no details about the gameplay, except for the fact that the game will become an asymmetrical multiplayer experience. But where will the differences to Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th - The Game and Co? Measured by the template, however, it is likely to amount to a 5-to-1 skull, with a strong focus on stealth elements if you play one of the teenagers. On the other hand, if you stoop through the maps as a leather face, the chainsaw should certainly be there. However, if you have to do what tasks and whether you as a teenager only run around your life or can also defend yourself, you are not known.
Further details on the gameplay, the release date, the platforms and more will only be announced later. That's a good thing, because we are currently busy with a different horror franchise. Soon there will be our review of Evil Dead: The Game. Incidentally, this was also announced by the Game Awards.
